Canberra in winter is cold - dur!

While Europe and America swelter in extreme temperatures, and the old, infirm and poor suffer endlessly with the heat, here in Canberra it was slightly cooler at -7 degrees centigrade this morning. Andrew went to feed the dog, Millie, and found that the water bowl was iced over.

Despite the low temperatures Millie still spent the night on the sofa rather than than in her dog house.
