As promised yesterday I am going to published stories from our trip and I thought I would start with the easiest one. It is easy cos there are no piccies and only a little to report on. Enjoy, there will be more tomorrow, although I am not promising piccies yet.
We suffered little ill health, what little there was I will share.
MLR
In Singapore Michaela had many mozzie bites that she scratched and some became infected. On our way back through Singapore Michaela developed what looked like a nasty boil on her ankle. Consulted the hotel Dr who said it was a reaction to a bite and seemed not too concerned. We spent our whole time in Singapore spraying her with anti bug stuff. She had a cold for several weeks. Coming into Sydney she developed a tummy bug. Otherwise she was very healthy.
AJR
Andrew developed a tummy bug on the second last day of the bus trip (as my kind brother has pointed out) and was miserable for 3 and a half days. Other than that there was nothing to report
J
J hurt his knee in London - the bathroom was a step down from the hallway in our apartment, but the first time J went in there he was not expecting it and he caught his knee in full lock, it is still a little sore. After a trip to a "Little Chef" on a motorway to Ulceby he caught a little jelly belly. Other than that he has been incredibly well.
AJC
A managed to develop a crick in the neck, see Sunny Scotland post. A also had jelly belly from the "Little Chef". A second bout developed in Paris. Searched for a loo for some time and by the time one was found in an Italian restaurant, the need had intensified. After a very expensive round of drinks (to give us access to their one and only toilet), we walked to the Tour Eiffel. At this stage thought it best to just pop by the toilet so as to avoid the need to leave the queue and managed to fall on gravel and cut up left hand quite nicely. The trip up the tower was good but various bits hurt, so not as good as it could have been. Was much better next day and managed Disneyland well.
